AI Policy: how I use (and do not use) artificial intelligence

I sometimes use software to extract terminology from files in order to ensure consistency and accuracy. Not all extraction tools involve artificial intelligence. I will not expose your information to AI or cloud-based tools without your express permission.
When I use software to check consistency in a translation, I prefer PerfectIt, which runs locally on my computer.
I sometimes use AI tools as a project-based thesaurus. When I use artificial intelligence this way, I limit my inputs to words or short phrases that are not specific to you and your files.
Many transcribers use AI transcription tools. While I know how to work with these tools and clean up machine-generated transcripts against the original audio, I will not use AI to transcribe your audio unless you specifically ask me to.
